The Onuesoke Foundation has demonstrated strong institutional capacity in designing and implementing community-driven development initiatives through strategic partnerships with public and private sector stakeholders, particularly within Nigeria’s oil and gas host communities.
Community Needs Assessment – OML 30 Host Communities (2019–2020)
From 2019 to 2020, the Onuesoke Foundation partnered with Heritage Oil and Gas Limited to conduct a comprehensive needs assessment across OML 30 host communities. The project involved structured community engagement, stakeholder consultations, and field-based data collection to identify priority needs in education, livelihoods, social infrastructure, and environmental sustainability. The findings provided evidence-based recommendations that informed development planning and enhanced community inclusion, contributing to improved host-community relations and more targeted intervention strategies.
